Set up your property, facilities, and rooms
Start with your property profile, shared facilities, and room-type amenities in an OTA project.
You need to sign in and open a project from the OTA dashboard. The steps below assume an active project and permission to edit each area. If a menu item is missing, ask a project manager to check your access; a visible UI control is not proof of server authorization.
1. Update the property profile
In your project, select Property → Property information. Review the name, property type, and country code. Add the address, total room count, and sellable room count if known, then select Save profile. Contacts and property links can be managed in separate sections on the same page.
Contacts and links have visibility settings; choose a scope suitable for their intended audience. Map and website links require valid HTTP(S) URLs without embedded credentials. If you have read-only access or the project is archived, editing is unavailable.
2. Select shared facilities
Select Facilities in the project menu. These are property-wide services and facilities, not amenities for a particular room type. If permitted to manage them, select items from the catalog, specify availability, operating hours, or usage conditions where applicable, review their visibility, and select Save facilities. A price must have a matching currency code; do not enter a currency without a price.
Only a project Owner in an organization, with permission to manage Facilities on a non-archived project, sees Manage catalog for reusable custom groups and facilities. You may still be able to assign existing facilities without this additional catalog permission.
3. Create a room type and assign amenities
Select Rooms → Add room type. Enter a code, internal name, sellable quantity, and occupancy details. You can also add an OTA display name, bed, room size, description, and smoking policy. Select Create room type, then open Edit on that room to assign Amenities (room-type features such as Wi-Fi or a coffee machine). Select the relevant amenities and Save room type again; amenities cannot be assigned in the initial creation step.
If you need a new amenity, a project Owner in an organization with room management permission may use Manage amenities. Creating a custom amenity within the room edit form adds it to the organization's catalog, but you must still Save room type to assign it to this room. This catalog is separate from property-wide Facilities.
If saving fails
- No edit button: check your project permissions; archived projects only expose historical views.
- Data changed: after a concurrency message, review the latest data that was reloaded before trying again. Avoid overwriting another person's changes.
- Catalog unavailable: retry later; an empty view does not necessarily mean there are no facilities. In Rooms, you may still update room details without changing amenity assignments while amenity data is unavailable.
Next: Manage OTA channel accounts or review workspace concepts.
