Set up rates and promotions
Manage rate plans, date-based rates, hourly packages, promotions, and net-price previews.
After setting up rooms, open your project from the dashboard. These actions require a non-archived project and separate permissions for each area. Reading rates does not grant permission to propose or approve them.
1. Create a rate plan
Choose Rates → Rate plan catalog → Add rate plan if you can propose rates. Select a platform or the shared option, enter a code and name, meal, cancellation and payment policies, and Active/Inactive status. Save and check the catalog. Archived plans are read-only; an unavailable platform catalog can temporarily prevent creating or editing plans.
2. Enter a rate period and submit it for review
Open Annual rates → Add rate period. Choose a room type, date range, days of the week, matching rate plan/platform, amounts and currency. Review the commercial settings and scope before saving. Rate periods have versions: a draft can be proposed, while a user with separate approval permission can finalize or reject it. To change an existing rate, create a revision and inspect the history rather than assuming a draft is effective. A missing Add button may mean rate.propose access or the scope catalog/commercial settings are unavailable.
The Hourly packages tab has its own duration and rate scope, proposal/approval process, and version history. These are commercial configurations; they do not reserve inventory, reduce availability, or publish prices to external OTA connectors.
3. Compare a multi-channel pricing overview
In Annual rates, open Pricing overview to read a rate scope across multiple platforms. Choose a room type, a shared rate plan or no rate plan, a stay-date range, daily/weekly/monthly granularity, up to five platforms, and the sale price or payout metric, then apply the criteria. You need rate-read and promotion-read access, and the related catalogs must be available.
The chart/table shows only baseline data with an applicable scope. Read warnings carefully when rate coverage is partial, platform-specific rates are excluded from the comparison, external promotion candidates are excluded, or commission data is missing. From the overview, you can open Net pricing with the corresponding criteria for a detailed scenario. This remains a reading/projection tool, not a published rate, booking confirmation, or live inventory source.
4. Configure promotions
Choose Promotions → Add promotion with manage permission. Select the platform, discount type and value, booking and stay windows, optional minimum-stay requirements, and room/rate-plan scope. Check Internal/ClientVisible before saving; ClientVisible alone does not make a promotion public outside the applicable sharing rules. Use catalog or matrix view to review entries. Status transitions and approvals require their own permissions; a draft or expired promotion is not automatically applicable to a selling price.
5. Preview net pricing
Choose Rates → Net pricing. Select a platform, booking date, stay date, number of nights, and optionally room and rate plan; run the preview. Each amount is a per-night scenario for one stay date, not a stay total. Booking date determines promotion window and lead time; nights are used for minimum-stay eligibility. Inspect promotion and commission scenarios; combinations are available only for compatible, stackable promotions. Previewing requires read permission for both rates and promotions. Do not treat a projection as an inventory or booking confirmation.
On a version conflict, refresh the latest data before revising; archived projects expose history only. Next: Manage bookings.
