Dashboard, search, and notifications

Find projects, search authorized resources, follow work, and manage personal notifications.

VI

OTA's global areas help you return to work across projects. Only data allowed by your current access is shown; finding a URL or seeing a control never replaces the server's authorization checks.

Use the Dashboard to find projects

Open the OTA Dashboard. The project directory lets you:

  • Search by keyword, filter by status or owning organization.
  • Sort results, switch between grid and list views, and paginate to the appropriate project.
  • Distinguish an account with no projects from a filter that returns no results.

Some metrics for the current page load separately from the project list. If a metric section is temporarily unavailable, do not interpret it as zero or assume a project was deleted. The create-project action works only when your active organization context is eligible; see Getting started if you need to create a project.

Search across OTA

Open Search, enter a query, then select Search. Queries are limited to 200 characters and require explicit submission; typing alone does not run a search.

You can narrow results by project and one resource type: Project, Room, Document, or Task. Results are paginated; open a result to follow its canonical route to a resource you are still allowed to read.

Search uses safe summary data within project/resource scopes you may access. Do not use it as a data export or as proof that you can read document content, internal notes, Finance data, or sensitive information. If an expected result is missing, first check the project, resource type, and your access before concluding that the data does not exist.

Follow your work

Open My tasks to view tasks you may access across projects. It is a work-tracking shortcut; it does not expand access to other tasks or projects. Open the relevant project to create, assign, or transition a task as described in tasks and workspace operations.

Read and configure notifications

Open Notifications to view your personal Inbox.

  1. Filter by All, Unread, or Read.
  2. Open an item to mark it as read. When its target is still available and you retain access, the notification opens the relevant screen.
  3. Use Mark all as read to clear your Inbox state. This does not delete project data.
  4. Open Notification preferences to enable or disable Inbox or Email by notification type, or adjust all personal Email preferences.

Personal preferences do not grant project access and do not guarantee that an email will be delivered: a notification still depends on the event, an eligible recipient, and project/organization policy. Project-level notification settings live in the project's Settings area and appear only to authorized users.

If a notification cannot open its target, the target may no longer be available or your access may have changed. Refresh, check access, then contact the project manager if needed.
