OTA channels and accounts
Understand booking platforms, the platform catalog, and project OTA accounts.
What is an OTA channel?
An OTA (Online Travel Agency) is an online platform where guests can find and book accommodation. Common examples include Booking.com, Agoda, Traveloka, Expedia, and Airbnb. These are examples of platforms; they do not imply your project has accounts or listings on all of them.
In OTA Sales Workspace, a platform is a catalog entry used to classify data. The catalog also includes other types, such as PMS (property management software), CMS / Channel Manager, social networks, and other tools. Selecting a platform does not create an external account or automatically connect to it.
OTA Account in a project
An OTA Account is a project record associated with a specific platform. It helps the team identify the channel, display name, and management status. For example, a project called “Lotus Homestay” might have one Booking.com record and one Agoda record: two different accounts/channels under the same project.
To view records, open the OTA dashboard, select your project, and choose OTA Accounts if authorized. Do not share sensitive account information in documentation or public links.
Note: A platform catalog entry or an OTA Account record does not prove automatic synchronization of bookings, rates, or availability. Check each feature's data source before using it to make operational decisions.
